Evolved: For Scorpio life is about power and self-mastery. The goal is the destruction of the lower ego, control over the desire nature, and the dissolution of everything that gets in the way of regeneration. She strives to master intellect, passion, will, emotions, physical body, and insight. Scorpio wants this and wants it now. Furthermore, she wants it for you too, whether you want it or not. Scorpio believes she knows what is best for you.



Scorpio is usually psychic, but often doesn’t realize it. Because her senses are so acute, she may attribute psychic and intuitive impressions to Sherlock Holmes’ deductive reasoning. Scorpio is fascinated with death and she strives to understand it and its causes. Because she is capable of patience and forbearance (when it suits her) she can excel in any area that calls for these qualities. She can handle anything that calls for effort, endurance and overcoming opposition and obstacles.

Not especially original and pioneering like Aries, Scorpio is exceptionally creative at improving upon the ideas of others. Many good ideas and inventions would have died out if it had not been for some enterprising Scorpio to improve it and make it work.

Scorpio is intense and sexual. She has a sensuous nature but dislikes gushy sentimentality. Scorpio is intense and quiet, with deep feelings that are rarely vented in words. However, she is good with words and can use them with wit, humor, and creativity. She can also use words to sting, cut and destroy. Scorpio is often exacting with others and can be difficult to live with because she doesn’t like to compromise. She thinks she knows what is best and thinks you should be aware of it. Martin Luther, founder of the Lutheran Church, was a classic Scorpio. He was clever, shrewd, assured, intense, sensual and sexual, sometimes brooding, reforming, regenerating, secretive, demanding.

Base : This type of Scorpio is extremely intense. She is capable of fiery anger, resentment, fierce rebellion, jealousy, and hatred. She is passionate and has a will of iron. Failure to attain self-mastery causes her to lead the life of havoc and brooding. She can become a gambler, heavy drinker, drug addict. She is always quick to point out the faults of others and chooses friends among those who are low in self-esteem and have more problems than she has. She will even encourage others to wallow in their weaknesses. The Base type of Scorpio likes to express humor in practical jokes that make others look ridiculous.

Both Types: Are unusually strong physically; perhaps not with muscles, but with endurance and recuperation. However when she is ill, she is completely and thoroughly ill. She makes the worst patient because she always thinks she knows more than the health professional caring for her.
