Aspects to and from Saturn either ease or cause challenges and blocks to resolving karma.
Hard aspects such as semisquare, square, and opposition, conjunction and inconjunction
cause difficulty. Soft aspects such as semisextile, sextile, and trine ease karma resolution.
Saturn/Sun
Hard aspects with Saturn/Sun show something in a past life having to do with misuse of authority with guilt. This can be brought forward in the present life as lack of self-worth and low self esteem. We look to others to applaud our accomplishments or look outward for recognition to help us feel better. The lesson is to take responsibility for our own feelings and our own worth.
Saturn/Moon
With Saturn/Moon we were in a painful life involving children. We now bring forth guilt about this and become overly sensitive to the needs of children. We may feel we have a destiny to rescue children from mistreatment or pain.
We may have been born, in this life, to a mother who was uncaring, or cold, or unable in some way to care for us. The lesson is to work through emotions concerning mother and children and know how to use compassion and practical help instead of guilt and pain.
Saturn/Mercury
With Saturn/Mercury, our intellect is our karma. We may have misused our intelligence or expertise in a past life that resulted in pain, deprivation or death for others. We may have brought forth guilt about making wrong decisions, or dire mistakes in a past life. As a result, we are overly cautious about making decisions, we doubt and are overly critical. We worry incessantly about being right. But as karma goes, we will create situations that will force us into decision making situations. We must move away from guilt and feel comfortable with our intellect and how we communicate with others.
Saturn/Venus
With Saturn/Venus it is love that we have karma with. We may have had a tragic love affair in a past life and are overly cautious in this one. Or, we were the perpetrator of broken hearts, or suicide, and carry guilt around about love. We avoid close ties and commitment and fear falling in love. The lesson is to learn to show and to accept love and all its hurts without fear or guilt. Widening our de.nition of love from personal to universal is also a possible lesson for Saturn/Venus.
Saturn/Mars
Violence, sex, ambition, anger, and aggression are the Karmic hallmarks of Saturn/Mars. Whether we were the perpetrators or the victims, we carry guilt and fear associated with these things. We may deny anger, or sexuality and suppress natural urges and emotions until they burst forth or make us physically ill. We may become so afraid of confrontation that we placate everyone and become frustrated and sick about our life. We may turn to escapism in drink or deviant behavior to deal with these feelings. The lesson is to bring our natural urges out in the open in a healthy way. We have to .nd a way to channel our sexuality, ambition, and anger in a way that is constructive and healthy.
Saturn/Jupiter
Religion, exuberance, fun, abundance, extravagance, and blunt communication are the things Saturn/Jupiter must deal with in this life. We may have been punished or killed for our religious beliefs. We may have been selfish in the past and created good fortune at the great expense of others. In this life we may mistrust religion or suppress our exuberance, forthrightness, and opulence. We may feel guilty about having wealth. We may deny our self fun and a life that is satisfying, living at the whim of others. We may sacrifice for others. The lesson here is to find our inner joy and the richness of humor and aliveness. We must allow ourself the right to have abundance and wealth.
Saturn/Uranus
Inspiration, enlightenment, spontaneity, rebellion, and individuality are the karma experiences to deal with in this life. In a past life, we may have been a revolutionary, visionary, or genius that set us apart from the world in a way that was painful to us. We may have been a rebel or led a life that was eccentric and been punished for this. On the other hand, we may have been the one who punished this behavior in others. Whichever way, we may have come into this life full of guilt and fear about being different. As a result, we have a need to conform and deny any intuition, or individuality that we feel or experience. We repress our restless, nervous energy until it makes us physically or mentally ill. We fear impulsive action and become overly cautious. The lesson is to let go of guilt and to allow our intuitive, spontaneous, rebellious nature out in creative and useful ways. We must be free to express our innerself and to inspire others with it.
Satum/Neptune
Psychic ability, intuition, higher spirituality, optimism, idealism are all things that Saturn/ Neptune brings into this life to deal with. We may have suppressed psychic ability and higher spiritual experiences in a past life or we may have misused them. In this life we may have a lack of faith in anything we can’t tangibly experience. We may be pessimistic about the future. We may see hardship and disappointment everywhere. The lesson here is to develop psychically and spiritually in a realistic way that helps ourself and others.
Saturn/Pluto
Pluto is a difficult one. The lesson here is about power and its use. Because we misused power in the past or were victims of misused power, we fear our personal power and shy away from any responsibility or situation where we must use power. This can be in the political, religious, or social arenas. The lesson here is to use our natural charismatic and magnetic energies for good and for positive change in the world. Pluto always has far reaching affects and when we learn to use this force for good, we can make a positive difference in the world. But first we must learn to forgive ourself and/or others for past life wrongs.
